About Us
The Grafton Volunteer Fire Department is made up of approximately 30 dedicated individuals who respond to fire and rescue calls in the village and town of Grafton 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our department is one of the few remaining departments in the area to be 100% volunteer. We are dispatched by the Grafton Police Department to approximately 700 rescue calls and 200 fire calls per year.
Our firefighters and EMT's attend regular training to keep their skills up-to-date. Some members have additional training in trench rescue and swift water rescue. We also have an active Explorer program for young men and women who are interested in learning about firefighting.
